چکیده
Skin plays a vital role in immune defense which maintain homeostasis with commensals and quickly detect resist pathogen invasion. Antiviral immunity is dysregulated among broad spectrum of skin conditions. The 2’-5’-oligoadenylate synthetase (OAS) protein family comprises OAS1, OAS2, OAS3, OASL, can be induced by interferons (IFNs) exert antiviral activity. Recent studies also highlight IL-27 induce the OAS2 human epithelial keratinocytes. Our previous explored OAS keratinocytes patients psoriasis. Here, we focus on various immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. Data mining Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database literature review revealed OASs were upregulated lesional discoid lupus, dermatomyositis, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, systemic sclerosis. found overexpressed PBMCs lupus erythematosus, related to pathogenesis multiple disorders worth further exploration. We speculate that this may IFN-related pathogenesis, or it bypass IFN mediate onset disease.

متن کاملHeme Cytotoxicity and the Pathogenesis of Immune-Mediated Inflammatory Diseases
Heme, iron (Fe) protoporphyrin IX, functions as a prosthetic group in a range of hemoproteins essential to support life under aerobic conditions. The Fe contained within the prosthetic heme groups of these hemoproteins can catalyze the production of reactive oxygen species. Presumably for this reason, heme must be sequestered within those hemoproteins, thereby shielding the reactivity of its Fe...
متن کاملMechanisms of immune-mediated skin diseases: an overview.
The skin is a frequent site of pathological immune responses that can take place in the dermal and/or the epidermal compartments. These immunopathological reactions often occur towards innocuous antigens and may be the result of T cell-dependent and/or autoantibody dependent mechanisms. Defective immune regulation is increasingly recognized as very relevant in many skin and systemic immune-media...
متن کاملUrine metabolome profiling of immune-mediated inflammatory diseases
BACKGROUND Immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) are a group of complex and prevalent diseases where disease diagnostic and activity monitoring is highly challenging. The determination of the metabolite profiles of biological samples is becoming a powerful approach to identify new biomarkers of clinical utility. In order to identify new metabolite biomarkers of diagnosis and disease act...
